Accounting

Your books kept, closed and defended

We keep your books throughout the year. You know where you stand at any time, and the year-end holds no surprises.

01

What we handle

Day-to-day bookkeeping

Recording or taking over your entries, account matching, bank reconciliations, monitoring receivables and payables, and interim figures as often as you need them.

The related obligations

VAT returns, payroll if you entrust it to us, and the company's tax returns.

What you receive

A clearly written update at the agreed frequency, setting out what has changed and what requires a decision on your part.

02

Your accounting obligations

They depend in particular on your legal form and the size of your business. The Swiss Code of Obligations provides for several regimes. A sole proprietorship below a certain turnover in the last financial year may keep simplified accounts, limited to receipts, payments and assets. Above that threshold, and for the legal entities concerned, full accounts are required, with a balance sheet, an income statement and notes.

Depending on the size of the company, a statutory audit may also become mandatory, either an ordinary audit or a limited audit.

How we work

  1. You know where you stand during the year

We prepare interim figures at the agreed frequency and go through them with you. You can follow how your business is doing without waiting for year-end to learn the result for the year.

  2. One person who knows your business

You deal with the same person over time, someone who knows your business, how it is organised and the history of your account.

  3. Payroll and tax under the same roof

When payroll, VAT and tax are handled in one place, the figures are reconciled throughout the year, which makes checks and reconciliations at year-end easier.

  4. Sourced and verified information

The thresholds, rates and main rules mentioned on this site are given with their source and the date on which we checked them.

Changing accountant mid-year

Changing accountant during the financial year is possible. We take over your entries from a date you set, collect the records from your current provider, and report our findings to you.

Organising your bookkeeping

We explain what bookkeeping involves given your volume and legal form, how often we would review your figures with you, and how we would price the engagement.
